A full range of planning, architectural and urban design services were provided by CM+ for this project, which was constructed during the latter half of 1979. The project, an extension of the pedestrian plaza system originally established in 1974, introduced a series of urban places and attractions to reinforce the retail and commercial functions of the area. These included a refreshment terrace, eating court, carousel overlook, information centre, arbour and serviced kiosk points.

A new contoured timber seat was developed by Street Furniture Australia as part of this scheme, based on the traditional slatted park seat.

The City Walk Plaza extended for three city blocks covering some 10,000 square metres Stage IV of which was constructed for $500,000.

Commissioned jointly by Telstra and the Council of the City of Sydney, this telephone booth was used throughout Australia as the standard for public areas. Designed by CM⁺ and manufactured by Street Furniture Australia.

The design features a cast aluminium structure and roof, with toughened glass inserts, integrated light and graphic display.

This marker in Queens Square, celebrates the work of the colonial architect Francis Greenway. Set in the plaza between two of his most prominent works, St James Church and Hyde Park Barracks, the marker gives a graphic representation of the person and his works, constructed from granite and marble with brass and bronze inlays.

In the high density suburb of Zetland, green space is at a premium. Tote Park is small but welcoming, and it sits opposite Tote Building – a stylish heritage building that offers meeting and function rooms for special events. In 2003, the City of Sydney developed the park to include a kids playground and a new range of street furniture. Classic Plaza Seats line the pathways, Frame Bin Enclosures keep the park tidy, Bike Stations encourage cyclists to stop and take a break, and a number of Wide Fountains and Cantilever Fountains provide passersby with drinking water.

St Margaret’s is a mixed-use redevelopment of an old hospital that regenerated Bourke Street in Surry Hills, by joining the site to its surrounding neighbourhood.

Custom curved benches designed by PTW and SJB Architects and manufactured by Street Furniture Australia are installed in the outdoor spaces. The seats ring around trees for shade.
